Now, MBA admissions linked to CMAT scores

In accordance with the directions of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the State Government has notified that all the AICTE approved institutions and universities in Karnataka should conduct MBA admissions based on CMAT scores from the academic year 2013-14.

In August last, AICTE had issued directions to all the state governments to notify the same. The first test for CMAT was conducted in September last and the results were declared a month later. The second test will be held between February 21 and 25, 2013.

As per the AICTE guidelines, students can appear for both the exams and, the results of the better of the two will be considered for the admissions. For post graduate diploma in management (PGDM), one of these five entrances will be considered: CMAT, CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA.
