Axis Bank realigns its operations

 
The SBUs are retail banking (SME and Agri), corporate, non-banking retail subsidiaries and corporate centre.

Retail banking (SME and Agri) will be headed by S K Chakrabarti, who will be designated as Executive Director.

Corporate banking will be headed by V Srinivasan. This unit will own large corporate, mid-corporate, infrastructure, capital markets, treasury and international businesses.
Non-banking retail subsidiaries will be headed by Hemant Kaul, who will be designated as Executive Director (Subsidiaries). The unit will govern the existing and new subsidiaries, the statement said.

Corporate Center will be headed by M M Agrawal, Deputy Managing Director, and look into all non-business functions for the bank, it said.

“The re-alignment will provide sharper focus to the activities of the Strategic Business Units. ,” its MD and Chief Executive Officer Shikha Sharma said. Axis Bank is the third largest private lender in the country and its network spans more than 900 offices.
