JOIN USAn engineer working with the Sri Ram Sagar canal project in Karimnagar district of Andhra Pradesh, has gone missing since two days, police said here today.
Manne Vijaykumar (50), a Deputy Executive Engineer of Tadikal sub-division of Godavari valley was on patrol duty in Shankarapatnam and Saidapur Mandal areas on Sunday checking illegal water connections in agricultural fields following which he allegedly went missing in the wee hours of Monday, they said.
According to the police complaint filed by Junior Executive Engineer Ramakrishna, who accompanied him, Vijaykumar was resting in their patrol car on Sunday night.
But when Ramakrishna woke up, his senior was not to be found anywhere, police said.
Searches have been launched to trace the missing engineer, they added.
