A programme is scheduled at 8 am to pay homage to 20 police officers of the State who laid down their lives while on duty between September 1, 2008 to August 15, 2009. A total of 833 cops lost lives in the same period in the country.
Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa will be the chief guest while Home Minister V S Acharya will preside. Director General and Inspector General of Police Dr Ajai Kumar Singh and police officers of all ranks will be present.
They will pay homage to the following departed cops:
