<p>Actress Prachi Desai, who plays a chic hairdresser in the John Abraham-starrer I, Me aur Main, says the romantic drama is a turning point in her career. <br /><br /></p>.<p>“As ‘Rock On’ was my stepping stone in the industry, similarly I, Me aur Main will be the turning point as it will portray a new Prachi Desai,” the actress says. In the film — which also stars Chitrangada Singh — Prachi plays a pivotal character, who is the reason behind the change in John’s character. <br /><br />“Gauri is my favourite character because she is so similar to me in real life. She is a live-wire and free-spirited. She is living her life to the fullest and wants everybody around to do the same. She is a hairstylist by profession. The equation between her and John’s character is so fantastic. They are pals. She is one person in the film for whom John changes,” she smiles. <br /><br />Asked about her on-screen chemistry with John in the film, Prachi replies, “Sharing screen space with John was fantastic. He could be anyone’s favourite co-star. John has a quirky sense of humour and he is one of the most accommodating actors.”<br /><br />Prachi started her career with the television serial Kasam Se when she was 17 years old and after that, she starred in various films including Bol Bachchan, ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai’ and ‘Life Partner’. The actress says she is happy about her film choices. “My journey in the industry was difficult initially because I was an outsider. I am lucky that I have been a part of some good films and made good choices,” she says.<br /><br />The actress adds that she has left TV for sometime and will only return if she gets a chance to judge a reality show. “It’s very unfortunate that in our country, you have to do either of the two. TV content in India is not progressive. So, I chose films. I will come back if I get a chance to judge a reality show,” she states.<br /><br />Prachi will next be seen in the third installment of Vikram Bhatt’s horror franchise ‘1920’, opposite a newcomer. “We will be shooting the film at the locations for the film ‘Harry Potter’ and I am really excited about it,” she gushes.</p>
