'Known people behind lone woman's murder'

The City police suspect involvement of a person/s known to the family in the murder of Renuka, a resident of Basaveshwaranagar.

Though no major breakthrough has been achieved, the police said, the inspection of the crime scene inferred that the assailant/s was among her acquaintances.

The police would go through the phone call details of the woman who strangled at her house in 3rd Cross, BJLIC Colony near Shankar Mutt, on Friday.

 The assailant/s had ransacked the house and decamped with Rs 10,000 after committing the crime.

The police have formed special teams and the investigation is on.
