Cops remember martyrs

Deputy Commissioner K H Ashwathanarayana Gowda said the service rendered by the police in protecting the country can not be forgotten.

Zilla Panchayat CEO Mirja Akbarulla said “everyone should have patriortism. Only when we have patriotism, we can protect the public property.”  SP Manjunath Annigeri welcomed the gathering and gave details of 833 police personnel who laid down their lives on duty in 2008-09 across the nation.  Zilla Panchayat President V M Vijaya, Air Marshal (retd) K C Kariappa, Col (retd) Uthaiah, Additional DC Chandregowda, CMC Commissioner K Srikanthrao, Tahsildar Devaraj, Home Guards Commandant O S Chingappa among others were present at the programme.
