Last Updated 17 March 2013, 17:08 IST

Housing Minister V Somanna reiterated that he will not join the KJP. Instead he will make an effort to bring back former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa to the BJP.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Sunday, he said “Yeddyurappa is our leader even to this day. Yeddyurappa is one of the influential leaders other than Deve Gowda in the State. Our friendship will not be spoiled at any cost. I will make an effort to bring him back to the fold of the BJP.”

Somanna said that he joined the BJP as he trusted Ananthkumar and BSY’s leadership. “I will contest for next Assembly polls from Chamarajanagara or Tumkur,” he said.

Rally from March 23

Former CM D V Sadananda Gowda said that to make preparations for the Assembly polls, the district BJP units will hold rally from March 23 to 30.  The party high command will decide on the state  president.
