State BJP president's election in December

Speaking to reporters after the party office bearers meeting in Bangalore on Thursday, BJP State President D V Sadananda Gowda said  the organisational elections at the booth and panchayat level would be held between November 1 and 20.

The elections at the mandal and assembly level would be held between November 21 and 30, while state office bearers and district presidents would be elected between December 1 and 10. The elections for the state president’s post would be held during the second or third week of December.

On elections to be held in the flood-affected districts of North Karnataka, Gowda said: “The state office is yet to get more details from several flood-hit districts and these units will be given the option to decide whether to hold elections or not.” Meanwhile, the BJP has enrolled 26.12 lakh members during its enrollment drive. The party recorded its highest enrollment in Bangalore City and the lowest in Ramanagara district.
