'Do not rush to media for help'

Last Updated 23 March 2013, 18:40 IST

District Sessions Judge A S Bellunke said that women should not depend on the media to find solutions for their problems.

He was speaking at a workshop on laws pertaining to women organised by District Legal Services and Women and Child Welfare department in Mandya, on Saturday. He said that television channels instead of sorting out the problems, complicated matters beyond redemption.

“Women should solve their problems out of the media or move the court if required,” he added.

He said that a healthy society could be established by inculcating good culture among children. Sex discrimination should not be entertained in families.
