Universities should extend their scope towards use and exchange of the abundant human resource in the country. In this regard, universities have a large role to play, said Vice-Chancellor of the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, K Narayanagowda, here on Friday.
He was speaking at a felicitation programme organised jointly by Karnataka Sangha and Kannada Sahitya Parishat in Mandya. Vice-chancellor of Bangalore University, B Thimmegowda, VC of Karnataka State Open University, M G Krishnan and VC of Kannada University, H C Boralingaiah were felicitated. Commenting on the controversies regarding appointment of vice-chancellors, he said that it was essential to maintain transparency in administration, while inculcating punctuality.
