Reject BJP, Congress: CPM

Communist Party of India(Marxist) polit buro member Seetharam Yechury, urged the public to reject both BJP and Congress in the upcoming assembly elections. 

He said, both the parties were involved in rampant corruption and did not work for the welfare of the people. He was speaking at a CPM convention held here on Sunday.It is for the first time the party was fielding a candidate for Assembly elections in the constituency.

Criticising the Congress-led UPA government, he said, the 2G spectrum scam, Commonwealth Games scam and coal scam were proof of rampant corruption at the Centre.

“Narendra Modi is responsible for a pogrom in Gujarat. Unfortunately, he is being projected as a prime ministerial candidate by BJP and RSS,” he said.Taking credit for the implementation of National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, he said farm loans were being waived by the Centre due to the efforts of the CPM.DH News Service
