Repair road, protesters demand

Phool Sha Mohalla road is the connecting road to Shantinagar, Rehamatnagar, Chikkaballapur main road. But this road has not been asphalted for many years. Pot-hole filled road give nightmarish experience for the motorists and the pedestrians alike, the complained.

The residents demanded to asphalt the stretch which begins from M B Road and ends near burial ground, failing which will force them to intensify their protest. On Sunday a person was wounded when he fell down on this badly damaged road. He is hospitalised. These types of  incidents are common on this stretch and so works should be taken to repair this stretch, they demanded.

Memorandum have been submitted to the local body but with no effect. Officials and the municipality members have failed to take any action in this respect, they complained. The road was blocked for more than half an hour and a memorandum was submitted.

Protest in Srinivaspur

Residents of Rajaji Colony staged a protest in front of Zilla Panchayat Technical Sub-division Assistant Executive Engineers office on Monday urging the repair of Rajaji road.
The condition of the road is miserable which is making motoring a difficult experience. The dust emanating on this stretch has affected the health of the public, the protesters complained.
