M S Ramaiah College of Arts Science And Commerce recently had its farewell extravaganza spread over three days. The farewell was for the students of its BA, B Sc, BBM, B Com and BCA courses.

The students of the first and second year took great efforts to entertain their seniors. They put together various song and dance performances as well as a fashion show. Even the stage was decorated with personalised pictures to give it the right warmth of nostalgia.

There was a slide show of photographs that depicted fond memories that seniors shared with juniors and teachers, while the department of arts screened short films made by the students.

A welcome surprise was by the final year students themselves giving away different awards to their teachers, which left some of the teachers crying with joy. The department of life sciences distributed convocation hats to the graduates, made painstakingly by the juniors as their token of respect.

“Our seniors gave each of our teachers a special momento to thank them for the tremendous support that they had offered. It was a very sweet gesture,” says
Divya Mukhopadhyay, a  second-year BA student.

Even the attire was apt for the occasion. The boys were wonderfully dressed and looked handsome in suits, while the girls looked gorgeous in bright saris. During the experience-sharing session, each graduate went up on the stage and spoke a few words about their days in the college. Memories were relived and mistakes were forgiven and forgotten. Finally, the students bid goodbye despite a few tears that are expected on a day like that.

“The dance performances were mindblowing as was the tabla performance. It’s a really memorable day and I will never forget it,” notes Huzaif Khan from the BBM department.
