I won 'due to' Azam, says Jayaprada

“I would not have won had Azam Bhai had not opposed me the way he did,” Jaya Prada said sarcastically in an interaction in her Rampur Lok Sabha constituency.

“Azam Khan is a senior leader...I am just a petty party worker but is is true that I won because he opposed,” she said.

Obviously Jayaprada was referring to her allegation that Azam had distributed “obscene CDs and posters” at Rampur to sully her image.

The film actress romped home despite Azam’s opposition by over 30, 000 votes.
