Mohan Kumar's custody extended till November 2

Mohan had killed Anitha Kulal, a resident of Barimarukodi in Bantwal taluk on June 17, 2009 and in this regard police investigations are on and police have inspected the guest house, bus stand, public toilets etc in Hassan where the victim’s body was found.

Earlier, he was produced before Bantwal JMFC Court on Octover 22 and he was remanded to police custiody till October 27. Since police requested the court to extend judicial custody for one week for further investigation, he was again handed over to the police till November 2. ASP Chandrgupta, Circle Inspector K Nanjundegowda, Bantwal Rural SI H Shivaprakash and others were present.

Bandaged

The offender appeared before the court of law with a bandage around his head. It was said that he had tried to commit suicide by banging his head on the wall of the cell in the station two days ago, said to be due to mental trauma. His left eye too had swollen due to the wound.
