People-friendly policing system in place in N R Pura

Inaugurating the new beat system on Tuesday, at Honnekudige village in N R Pura, he said that the villages coming under Honnekudige police station limits will be divided among the personnel in the station and one beat will be set up. Accordingly, the police personnel will visit the village allotted to them daily. A committee of 60 members comprising of 50 members and 10 leaders in every village and all the members will be given with register book. The policemen visiting the village will have to sign the register book kept in the houses of the members. The members of the village will have to inform the police on beat about any problem in the village. With the system in place, people and police work in co-ordination to solve the problems in the village. In case, problems are not solved here, it is later taken to the station. He said that the system promises to provide justice to people efficiently.
