New parties will get only 10 seats: CM

The newly formed political party will win in only five to 10 constituencies, said Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar.

He appealed to the voters to vote for the BJP which will form the government after the election.

Speaking at a campaign at Hebbale, he said that the KJP would not win in more than 10 seats and the JD(S) would not get more than 20 seats. “D V Sadananda Gowda and  have given good governance. Hence, the voters should give us another chance to serve.”

The BJP government had initiated development work in Kodagu district. Suvarna grama yojana has been implemented in 3,300 villages. Grants have been released for the rejuvenation of lakes, and for taking up development work in towns. Only the BJP has announced its chief ministerial candidate. Voters should be cautious while exercising their franchise, he said.

Madikeri constituency candidate Appachu Ranjan said the government has given emphasis to education. It had released funds for the engineering college, and gram panchayats.
