Six cases confirmed

Sources told Deccan Herald, after his arrest on October 21, Mohan Kumar had confessed to Dakshina Kannada Police that he had meticulously executed his plans killing women on the premises of Mysore bus stand. Following his revelation, Lashkar police under whose limits the KSRTC sub-urban bus stand is situated on Bangalore- Nilgiri road had re-opened the cases related to unnatural death report (UDR) from 2004. In all 12 such cases had been registered between 2004 and 2009. What came to fore was, it was only one among the victims who had actually due to cyanide matching with the modus operandi of Mohan Kumar. While the remaining deaths were due to poison, according to post-mortem report. The Lashkar police were in a tizzy, as in the remaining cases the victims had not consumed poison in contrast to the version of Mohan Kumar. However, when asked about the same, Mohan Kumar said that he had also poisoned a few victims.

Police Commissioner Sunil Agarwal told Deccan Herald that six among the nine cases have been confirmed with Mohan Kumar involved in the same. The remaining three cases are still under investigation.
