Addressing the valedictory programme of World Integrity Temple at Ramakrishna Sharadashram at Ponnampete on Wednesday, he said that along with spiritual aspects, people should also develop proper attitude towards service too because even Bhagavathgeetha, Vedas, Upanishads and preachings of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and Swami Vivekananda preach service mentality.

“One has to involve himself into service activity along with striving for spiritual growth,” he added and said that Integrity temple is of great importance and significance in present days because these centres will inculcate service mentality in people, which will ultimately lead to making of modern India.

Shree Kshethra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and Swami Vivekananda did not perform any miracle. But instead, they opened the minds of the people through their thoughts and preachings.
“Places like Integrity Temple help people forget about various factors pressurising them, their problems and gives peace of mind. Hence there is no doubt that these centres are holy places too,” he said.

MLC M C Nanaiah lauded the works that Ramakrishna ashram has been doing for spiritual awakening and for the upliftment of the Dalits.

“We usually see that most of the spiritual centres are affiliated to one religion or the other but Ramakrishna Ashram is different. It has kept caste and conversion aspects away,” he said.
