JOIN USA 33-year-old software engineer was found dead, hanging from the ceiling at his house, on Sunday.
Basavaraj was working with a multinational company and was staying with his wife, Vanishree, in Kirloskar Colony, Basaveshwaranagar.
Police said on Sunday morning, after breakfast, Basavaraj locked himself in the bedroom saying he wanted some rest. He did not open the door in spite of repeated knocks. Anxious family members broke open the door only to find Basavaraj’s body hanging from the ceiling.
Chennamma, the elder sister of Basavaraj told police that her brother was under treatment for depression for the last few months. Basaveshwaranagar police have registered a case.
Man crushed to death
A pedestrian died after he was run over by a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation bus at the Kempegowda bus station late Monday night.
The victim, an unidentified man aged around 30, came under the wheels of a bus at platform number 28. As his face was badly mutilated, his identity could not be established, police said.
