Children and adults from across the City recently dropped in at the Landmark store in Forum Mall to meet their favourite cartoon character, Chhota Bheem. Dancing and singing the songs from the popular cartoon series, the children were quite impatient to meet their icon. Various types of interactive games, which had been planned around the show, made the experience all the more fun-filled and exciting for them.

Jalaja visited the store with her three-and-a-half-year-old son. “My son is a big fan of Chhota Bheem and watches the show everyday, come what may. When I told him that we would be coming here to meet his hero, he was jumping with joy. He was waiting to meet the cartoon character,” she says.

Children who could answer the questions based on the show were given small gifts and were quite happy to get them.

Five-year-old Krishna, who was there with his mother Sanjana, did not like the crowd but could not wait to meet Chhota Bheem.

“I love Chhota Bheem and watch the show regularly, but it’s very crowded here and I am disappointed that I might not be able to see him,” he says. Sanjana says that he was thrilled to come and meet his favourite cartoon star.

“He watches the show everyday and sometimes, even I have to sit and watch it with him. I am sure many parents do that at home,” says Sanjana.

As Chhota Bheem entered the stage, children lined up to meet him and shake hands with him.

Some parents came up to the stage to take pictures of him. Rithika, who was there with her daughter and her son, was happy that they finally met their favourite star.

“They watch the show everyday and we dare not change the channel,” she says with a smile, adding, “though it has been a long wait, I am happy that they finally got a chance to shake hands with their hero. The children were extremely excited to meet the cartoon character and can’t stop raving about the entire affair. It is a big day for them.”

The other characters from the show also came up on the stage later, much to the delight of the children.
