<p>The Song and Drama Division, under the Ministry for Information and Broadcasting, organised a workshop for the cultural troupes here on Friday.<br /><br />Regional Director of the Song and Drama Division H V Krishnamurthy said that these folk cultural tools will help create awareness about H1N1 influenza at the taluk and village <br />levels. “We will choose the popular form of dance and drama from a particular region and enact performances in the process of creating understanding about the H1N1 influenza,” he said. <br /><br />Nearly 45 cultural troupes will be staging more than 1,000 programmes which will include street plays, yakshagana, kamsale, krishna-parijatha, gigi pada, leather puppets, veeragase, dholu kunitha, etc across the State.</p>
