2 officegoers crushed under car wheels

Three persons were killed and one was injured in separate accidents in the City on Saturday.

Two employees of a private firm were killed on the spot after they came under the wheels of a car on the elevated flyover in the Electronics City traffic police limits.
Suresh Raj and Jayaprakash, both aged 32 and residents of Attibele, were headed to their workplace at Hosur on a bike when the accident took place near Navaneeth Motors.

Police said a speeding car driver lost control of his vehicle and it hit their bike.

The bike then hit a tractor parked on the roadside.

Raj, who was riding the bike and Jayaprakash, who was riding pillion, were thrown up in the air, fell down and came under the car. The car driver abandoned his vehicle and fled the spot, added the police.

The bodies were shifted to Victoria Hospital and police are on the lookout for the car driver.

Two-wheeler rider killed

In another accident in Yelahanka traffic police limits, a two-wheeler rider was killed on the spot, while the pillion rider sustained injuries after an unidentified vehicle knocked them down near NVM Kalyan Mantap at Kogilu Junction at around 1.40 pm. 

The police said the dead has been identified as Jagannath (26).

The injured, Harish, was admitted to a nearby hospital. Both are residents of Baichapura in Thindlu.
