Addressing the Kannada Rajyothsava celebrations in Koppa on Sunday, he said that Karnataka is not a region but it is a culture. He lamented that despite declaration by the Government that Kannada is the official and administrative language, it as not been implemented properly. Tahshildar Das Bovi hoisted the national flag. Police, Scouts, Guides and school students took part in the programme. Students who bagged highest marks in Kannada medium were felicitated.
TP Vice-President Santhosh, Town Panchayat President Umesh Shet, Vice-President Vani Sathish, DySP P Abdul Ahad, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Member Francis Cardoza and others were present.
