<p>Infosys and Wipro on Thursday announced salary hikes to employees in India with Infosys announcing an average of 8 per cent hike for the fiscal 2014 and Wipro 6-8 per cent.<br /><br /></p>.<p>“The company announced an average increase of 8 per cent for employees based in India,” Infosys said in a statement.<br /><br /> Employees based in other geographies, who have not been covered by salary increases in February 2013, can look forward to an average increase of 3 per cent, Infosys said adding that the increments will be effective July 1, 2013. <br /><br />The Global sales force will see an average increase of 8 per cent which will be effective May 1, 2013.<br /><br />Wipro, in a separate statement said that, "Commensurate with industry standards, Wipro has announced an average wage hike of 6-8 per cent, for offshore employees and 2-3 per cent for onsite employees, effective June 2013.<br /><br /> In line with the practice of rewarding high performers, Wipro has awarded double-digit hikes for these employees."</p>
