Bangalore Zone hold Mysore Zone

Arjun Hoysala and Mitrakanth came up with telling performances to guide Bangalore Zone to a draw against Mysore Zone on the last day of the two-day under-25 cricket tournament for SA Srinivasan Memorial trophy at the JIRS ground here on Sunday.

Mysore Zone, who resumed on an overnight score of 10/1, were bowled out for 178 in 58 overs with Naveen MG and Nirmith N making valuable contributions of 64 and 51 respectively, while Mitrakanth bagged six for 47 to give his team a huge first innings lead.

Hoysala, then, took centrestage with an unbeaten knock of 103 to ensure a draw for his team.
