The Artificial Flowers and Foliage exhibition by Kusal Indoor Garden is currently being held at the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat.

The exhibition includes different blooms, plants, strings and streamers along with creepers and even table-top options for one’s house. With a variety of flowers including roses, lilies, anthuriums, tulips, gladioli, coral bean and snap dragon to artificial grass landscapes, the place has a lot to offer. With options like small pots with little flowers to an elaborate garden setting, the exhibition also showcases ways in which one can experiment with artificial flowers.

A display one cannot miss as one enters the hall is the huge statue called ‘Cauvery — the river goddess of Karnataka’ and the garden set up around it. “This is to showcase the many possibilities one can explore in their own spaces. The setting includes flowers like roses, poinsettias, white orchids and lilies. Besides being a treat for one’s eyes, the concept also intends to emphasise preservation of water,” says Pradeep Kumar, the owner of Kusal Indoor Garden.

Flowers in different shapes and sizes are being showcased and sold at the exhibition. It seems to be attracting a lot of people. The flowers, in shades of white, pink, red, orange and purple, are surprisingly detailed and realistic. The exhibition also has different vases in contemporary shapes and formats as well as pots in wood and other mediums for all sorts of purposes.

Commenting on the show, Kedarnath CK, a visitor, says, “I’ve been in the interior designing sector for years and was just passing by when I saw the banner outside. I dropped in to pass some time but I’m surely coming back with my new client to this exhibition. Options in artificial flowers and foliage are available in plenty in the market but such fine detailing is rare.”

Vishnuvajalla Karthika, a homemaker, loves the different creepers that are nine feet long. “Their prices also amazed me. I’ve been thinking of getting real creepers to add a green look to my apartment but I’m too lazy to maintain them. These are the perfect solution,” she says.

The other things one could look at are the floating flower options like lotus without the stem, which can be placed in a mini-pond. Bamboo sticks holding flowers, dried sticks, ikebana arrangements, bonsai look-alike plants and garlands are other decorative options that one can opt for here. The exhibition is on till July 10, from 10 am to 7.30 pm.
