A sense of pride and accomplishment

The students of Acharya Bangalore B-School recently graduated with much fanfare.

The college put together a touching ceremony for the outgoing batch, which had all the elements of the perfect send-off — felicitations for the best students, a sense of pride on every face and of course, a lot of nostalgia.

The students, who were appropriately dressed in bright robes and graduation caps, were conscious of the fact that the ceremony marked the end of an era for them. Most of them are either already placed or waiting to be placed with different corporate firms and it was obvious to each of them that their stint in college — and everything associated with that — was coming to an end.

The initial portion of the programme was fairly formal. Ramesh L Harve, the director of Organic Services and Solutions (India) Private Limited, Bangalore, gave a brief speech.
He addressed the students on the importance of determination and commitment
to be successful in the competitive world.

HR Venkatesha, the director of the college, also delivered an inspirational lecture, assuring the students that they were corporate-ready and urging them to be good brand ambassadors for the institute. The students took a graduation oath and some of the best performers were awarded during the prize distribution ceremony.

Malvika, who won the award for ‘Best Student’, says, “It was a very nice
programme and a great experience on the whole.

After we got our certificates, we had a prize distribution ceremony, during which the best students came together. I got the award for ‘Best Student’ — a moment that made me extremely proud and at the same time, very emotional.

It’s strange to think that we’re finally graduates and have completed our MBA!” she smiles, adding that’s it wonderful to know that all the hard work of the last two years has finally paid off.

In addition to this, around five students shared memories of their two-year stint in college.  “Everyone had something nice to share. Now that we’ll be in the corporate world, I think I’m going to miss my friends the most — that and the entire experience of being in college,” concludes Malvika.
