<p>Khalid Ahmed, the chairman and members of the Karnataka State Board of Wakfs have challenged the Government Order issued on November 4, 2009, superceding the Board and appointing M A Saleem as administrator following financial irregularities revealed by a Corps of Detectives (CoD) inquiry. <br /><br />The petitioners contended that the Wakf Board had been unceremoniously dislodged and the administrator appointed without any consultation. <br /><br />The advocate for the government argued that there was no undue haste in the appointment. <br />However, the High Court granted an interim stay of two weeks on the appointment of the administrator to the Wakf Board. <br /><br />The matter has been adjourned.<br /></p>
