Belgaum's Nitesh overcomes Bawara; Niveditha wins

Hossana’s Vikram got the better of MBC’s Goutham Reddy in the Senior men’s lightweight category bout of the State Senior, Junior and Sub-Junior boxing championship at the Sree Kanteerava indoor stadium on Friday.

In another lightweight category encounter, Nitesh from Belgaum overcame Sunil Bawara.
Solanki Ram from Belgaum beat Kiran of IBC in the Light Flyweight category, and Nandan of SAK eased past Andrew of KARBC in the Light Welterweight class.

In the only girls’ match-up on the day, Niveditha of Eastwood School came out on top against her team-mate Arshita to enter the next round.
