JOIN USAiming to encourage more students to write the Common Admission Test (CAT), a number of new features have been added to this year’s test.
Candidates can purchase vouchers for registration and scheduling from the given Axis Bank branches. They also have the option to directly buy the vouchers online from the IIMs, from this year onwards, between August 5 and September 24.
Registration for the test is from August 5 to September 26. The test will be conducted across 40 cities between October 16 and November 11 at various Prometric centres.
“New to this year’s CAT is the option to purchase vouchers electronically. Details about payment of fees online will be made available on the CAT 2013 website - www.cat2013.iimidr.ac.in, from 5 pm on Saturday, August 3,” said Prof Rohit Kapoor, CAT 2013 convenor.
Aspirants can register and schedule for the test on the portal www.cat2013.iimidr.
ac.in or https://iim.prometric.com. They can also call toll-free number 1-800-419-0080, Monday to Saturday (9 am to 6 pm) from August 5, for assistance. Differently abled will be provided additional support.
An additional 30 Axis bank branches to purchase vouchers have been added for greater convenience of students who want to stick to the tried and tested method of registration. They can log on to the websites, www.cat2013.iimidr.ac.in or www.prometric.com for more details.
Aspirants will also be able to avail of a practice test to help them with the timed sections, navigation and functionality of the actual test on www.cat2013.iimidr.ac.in, in a few weeks. There a total of 3,335 seats this year in all IIMs, an increase of 115 seats.
