According to the notice available on UGC website, the Union HRD ministry has asked the Commission to provide links to the portals of all universities on its website.

The HRD ministry’s Department of Higher Education had said that “the UGC shall ask all universities and higher educational institutions to have a website in which full and complete disclosure of information shall be furnished.”

The HRD ministry has also instructed the UGC to “place the reports of expert committees” on its website for the public to access the information. The information includes reports on inspection of institutions and even recommendations made by these inspection committees.
