The Central Sahitya Akademi has selected poet H S Venkateshmurthy for the prestigious children’s literature award and Lakkur Anand for the Akademi’s Yuva Puraskar for the year 2013.
Venkateshmurthy has been selected for his contribution to children’s literature, Anand is being honoured for his anthology “Badavadeyadaga Rasithi”, sources said. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 50,0000 and a souvenir each.
