HC judge to be shifted to Gauhati

Karnataka High Court Judge K Sreedhar Rao is being shifted to Gauhati High Court. According to official sources, the Supreme Court collegium headed by the Chief Justice of India took the decision to transfer him a few days ago.

Justice Rao who is being transferred as ‘puisne judge’ will function as a regular judge. He had recently officiated as the acting Chief Justice of Karnataka for nearly two months, reports DHNS from New Delhi. He was appointed as additional judge of the High Court of Karnataka in February 2000 and permanent judge in May 2001.
