On May 9, as usual I took the bus (No KA 01 FA 2020) at Nelamangala terminal.
When I asked for the daily pass (Rs 75), the conductor who belongs to Katriguppe depot (No D/C 6176) told me that he has not been provided with passes from his depot.
When I contacted depot manager Ramesh (9480816513), he provided me the phone number of one Sampangi Ramegowda (Manager Operations, Mobile no 94808 40389).
He did not pay any heed to my words and told that there is no hard and fast rule to issue BMTC passes. He also said that if at all one has to travel, one has to purchase the ticket and travel.
In such case, what is the purpose of introducing the day pass of Rs 75 and why are the BMTC officials behaving in such a manner? Surprisingly, even today when I took the Volvo bus (No KA 01-FA2031) at about 7.30 am from Nelamangala, I was met with the same response.

Garbage in park
About a year back, an initiative was taken to provide facelift to the park located near Kumaraswamy Layout police station. As part of this, a footpath was also provided.
However, the development work did not progress any further. In fact, the park has not been cleaned for the past one year and is filled with garbage dumped by those from establishments nearby.
These piles are heaped together under the trees, and burnt, thereby harming the trees.
I request the authorities concerned to clean the park periodically, complete the half-done work and restrain people from dumping and burning garbage inside the park.

Medical facilities
The Government Hospital at Arakere village, Bannerghatta Road does not have the required facilities. There are no doctors and nurses who work full time.
I, therefore, request the authorities to provide a regular full-time staff. Previous requests to authorities have fallen on deaf ears and no action has been taken so far.
