Ministers' wives want united Andhra Pradesh

Wives of ministers and legislators from Seemandhra (Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra) have joined their husbands in raising their voices for a united Andhra Pradesh.

A delegation of Andhra Pradesh government ministers wives submitted a memorandum to President Pranab Mukherjee and demanded to scrap any proposal of create separate Telangana state.

Creating separate state by carving Andhra Pradesh would hurt the sentiments of Telugu speaking people and it would create further division among people of two regions, they said.

They also sought the President's intervention to direct the Centre to "immediately discuss" with agitating people from both the sides and address their concerns to find an amicable solution to the "burning problem" in Andhra Pradesh.
