Welcoming the new batch

Sharda University recently organised a fresher’s party for its new batch of students. It was a night away from all from seriousness, studies, full of enjoyment and celebration for all those students who have taken graduate courses. The young brigade of new entrants were thrilled to step into the college life and what better than a ricking fresher’s party which they will remember all their lives.

The celebration kick-started with innovative moves by dance groups from Nepal, Bhutan and Afghanistan who mesmerised the audience with their performances. After the performances, all students including freshers and seniors ­­took the stage on fire and danced along with them.

The main event of the evening was the Mr and Ms Fresher contest, who were
selected on the basis of their performances in three different rounds. First, it was the introduction round followed by a talent round and then the final question-answer round with the top two contestants competing for Mr and Ms Fresher crown in each course.

Aryan Khatri from MBBS course, 1st year, was adjudged as the Mr Fresher and Audrey Massey of BDS won the title of Ms Fresher by the guest of honour Bobby Chopra, ex Roadies and Swagat Ranjan, Designer for online retail brand like Jabong, HomeShop 18.
After winning the title Aryan, said, “Freshers are always looking forward to a great bash where they can find new friends and make a good impression on their seniors too. I had a great time dancing and enjoying with a lot of energy. It gives me immense pleasure to be the part of this university and to be declared as the Mr Fresher.”

Audrey too shared, “After winning this title, I feel I am on top of this world. I am glad that our college provides an opportunity to the students to come out of the closed walls of classrooms and display their skills and abilities. I am thankful to everyone at the campus.”
College life is one of the most important stage in one’s career as well as shaping them up for the future. Such fresher’s parties are a perfect way to welcome new friends and wish them the best for the years ahead.
