Naidu questions Digvijay call to CBI director

Last Updated 03 October 2013, 20:36 IST

Alleging Congress role in the release of YSRC President YS Jaganmohan Reddy on bail, TDP president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu wanted to know why Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) director has called on AICC general secretary in-charge of Andhra Pradesh affairs Digvijay Singh. “Is Singh master of the CBI?” he questioned while addressing the media.

The TDP chief says that Congress is in the habit of using the services of CBI for its political gains. The comments of Congress leaders on Y S Jaganmohan Reddy clearly indicate that the Congress and Jagan had a secret deal. “While Veerappa Moily did not rule out an alliance with the YSR, Digvijay says the YSRC has the same DNA as the Congress,” Naidu added.
“Congress has mortgaged the country for its political mileage,” Naidu said. He said that he is sad to note that a premier investigating agency has been protecting the corrupt in the recent years.

There was no comparison between charge sheets filed earlier in disproportionate assets case of Jagan and the memo, he said, adding that both have totally different in character.
