Two rowdy gangs busted

Sleuths from the organised crime wing of the City Crime Branch (CCB) have arrested eight men, belonging to two gangs. Investigations show that the two gangs were hatching to kill lone commuters for gain. 

Acting on a tip-off, the sleuths raided a premises near Kengeri on Friday evening and arrested four associates of notorious rowdy Srinivas alias Gubbachchi Seena. 

The arrested are Shivakumar, 26, Shashikumar, Sunil and Shiva, all aged 21. 

Police recovered lethal weapons and a two-wheeler from them. They said the four were acting on Seena’s instructions, who is lodged in the Hindalaga prison in Belgaum, and were planning to kill a businessman to rob him. A case has been registered at the Kengeri police station. 

The CCB sleuths busted another gang of rowdies in Chennammanakere Achchukattu, who were allegedly hatching a conspiracy to kill Pavan from the rival gang. 

The arrested are Naveen, 28, Anand, 23, Arun Kumar, 19 and Harsha, 20. Police have recovered lethal weapons and an SUV from the arrested. A case has been registered at the Chennammanakere Achchukattu station.
