JOIN USEmanating enthusiasm, director Rakesh Roshan says his upcoming film Krrish 3 will be a super hit and break all the records. “It will earn one thousand crore and set a new benchmark,” he exclaims, while addressing a press conference in the City for the promotion of the film.
“Why not, we have introduced newness to the film,” excitingly says Rakesh. “Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi are new characters in the film this time and Krrish has got more superpowers than ever before,” he says. Taking a pause, he adds on, “But you won’t be seeing Jaadu this time around as well.”
Jaadu, the alien that gave superpowers to Rohit (played by Hrithik Roshan) was adored a lot by kids in the first part Koi....Mil Gaya. His absence was marked in Krrish and now in Krrish 3 too. “Jaadu has done his work in Koi... and has given his powers in my hand saying that Rakesh ji go on making films. When you exhaust these powers I will come back again,” chuckles Rakesh, who is more excited about the negative character ‘Kaal’ in his film, played by Vivek Oberoi.
Even though Vivek is a mainstream actor and has always been doing the role of a hero, Rakesh was sure he wanted to take Vivek for the negative character in the film. “I thought about him at the scripting level. Since people are amazed to see Vivek doing a negative role, I want to tell that no actor has an image of a hero or a villain. All they require is acting skills to take the garb of a character with an ease and reality to it,” he says.
Speaking about his actors, Rakesh shows equal confidence in his son, Hrithik, whom he calls the real superhero of the industry. “Industry mein koi aur actor nahin hai jo superhero ban sakta hai (There is no one in the industry who can be a superhero). If there was anyone in the industry then superhero films could have been made much earlier,” he says, clarifying that he is not making this statement as a father but as a director. “Hrithik is the new generation actor who looks, acts and can be visualised as a
superhero,” he says.
