CM briefs Bhagwat about crisis in State

Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa called on Bhagwat on Saturday morning and is said have briefed him on the political developments in the State. The RSS had backed Yeddyurappa when the Bellary ministers had raised a rebellion against him demanding a change in leadership.

“Yeddyurappa was keen that he narrate the sequence of events that led to the political crisis, the hammering out of the compromise formula by the party central leadership and its aftermaths to Bhagwat”, a source close to the CM said.

Bhagwat is staying at the residence of a RSS functionary in V V Puram.
Later in the afternoon, former minister Shobha Karandlaje also called on Bhagawat at the RSS headquarters, Keshav Krupa. BJP National General Secretary Ananth Kumar also met Bhagwat.

Meets seers

Later in the evening, the RSS Chief held discussions with heads of various mutts including Pejawar Mutt seer Visveshatheertha swamiji and Ramachandrapura Mutt seer Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji.

On Sunday, Bhagwat will be holding discussions with prominent personalities involved in social services and will be addressing a public meeting in the evening.
