As soon as he stepped in, the over-enthusiastic crowd went ecstatic.

Prabhu Deva was welcomed with a tapanguchi dance, Indian classical and Western dances. Many dance numbers were performed for the king of dance. These included hit numbers like Key Sera and the popular Muqabla. Prabhu Deva told the audience as to how happy he was to see them.

“I am very happy to come here, the moment I heard that I had to come to Bangalore, I did not even think twice. I did not even bother to find out what the programme is all about,” he added.

Actress Rekha performed a medley, which was a visual treat. Nandana, who came to watch the programme, said, “I love dances and never miss a chance when there is any major dance programme happening in the City. I enjoyed this event a lot, it’s great to see such big stars here.”

Five teams performed at the finals of Haku Hejje Haku and most of them presented medleys. The participants were dressed in colourful clothes and made use of the entire stage.

A lot of props too were used. In fact, one of the teams used a bike on stage as well. Nethra and Ratish emerged winners and drove away with two cars which they received as the prize. Many other prominent stars from the Kannada industry were present at the event. Even the rains failed to reduce the enthusiasm of the crowd.

Nalini R, a home-maker, said, “I came here just to see Prabhu Deva, I admire his dancing skills a lot. I watch Haku Hejje Haku regularly and was much interested in the finals.”
