Call to use Sakaala portal effectively

Last Updated 23 December 2013, 18:43 IST

Sakaala Mission Director Shalini Rajneesh on Monday urged all district in-charge secretaries to ensure that the Sakaala portal – www.sakala.kar.nic.in – is effectively used for the speedy disposal of complaints received from people at chief minister’s janata darshan programme.

Speaking at a meeting of district in-charge secretaries held at Vidhana Soudha, she said Deputy Commissioners of districts can access complaints related to their districts on the portal. They can also upload the action-taken reports on it. This will ensure speedy disposal of public grievances, she added.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who was scheduled to chair the meeting, could not attend due to the death of poet G S Shivarudrappa.

Chief Secretary Kaushik Mukherjee too did not attend the meeting. Instead, Additional Chief Secretary V Umesh conducted the informal meeting where issues related to inter-departmental coordination were discussed.

Siddaramaiah had convened a meeting of district in-charge ministers. The chief minister's office had issued a circular to all the ministers last week directing them to prepare for the meeting. But Siddaramaiah later decided to hold the meeting only with the in charge secretaries, sources said.
