The minister visited the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Kavoor, the solid waste management yard at Pacchanady, and inspected the ongoing concreting works of the airport road (beginning from Kuntikan junction), the stretch between the KSRTC bus stand and the Kuntikan junction, and the AB Shetty Circle and Pandeshwar.

Talking to reporters on the occasion, the minister said his visit is to see that the Rs 100 crore special grant and the State Finance Commission grant given to the City Corporation are spent in a proper manner.
“Including Mangalore, the major cities are getting good infrastructure, but the necessity of the common man has been neglected. Footpaths should be considered an important component of the city infrastructure,” he suggested.

Later he conducted a review meeting with the officials of various departments at the DC’s office.

District-in-Charge Minister J Krishna Palemar, MLA N Yogish Bhat, Mayor M Shanker Bhat, Deputy Commissioner V Ponnuraj, advisor to the Chief Minister A Ravindra, MCC Commissioner K N Vijayprakash and other officials accompanied the minister.
