To buttress his point, the 1986-batch IPS officer had cited the example of Narendra Modi, who had addressed the gathering at his Patna rally on October 27 in Maithili, despite being alien to the language.<br /><br />Mishra said this while addressing the people during a cultural function – Mithila Vibhuti Parva – organised to mark the death anniversary of renowned Mithila poet, Vidyapati. Miffed over the reports that a senior IPS officer had showered encomiums on Nitish’s bête noire Modi, the police headquarters procured a clip of the video recording of the function on November 23 and served him a notice.<br /><br />Bihar’s Home Secretary Amir Subhani confirmed that Mishra was served a show-cause for addressing a public meeting.</p>
