<p>A 40-year-old woman was murdered in front of her ailing father, allegedly by her two relatives over a property dispute in Cottonpet police limits on Friday evening.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The victim, Geetha, was a resident of K Veerabhadrappa Lane, Akkipet.<br /> <br />Her two relatives – Narendra Kumar and Jithendra – surrendered before the police hours after the murder and said that they hacked her to death due to a property dispute, the police said.<br /><br />Geetha was married to Deepak for 20 years and the couple have no children. Geetha owned a five-storey building and was staying with her father Shankarappa, who suffered a paralytic stroke recently, in the ground floor. <br /><br />Deepak was not at his house when the murder occurred, the police said.<br /><br />“I heard someone cry from inside and rushed to Geetha’s house,” Munawar, a neighbour, who runs a roadside stall, said. <br /><br />“I saw two middle-aged youths coming out of the house holding lethal weapons. They vanished once they spotted me. I entered the house and saw Geetha lying in a pool of blood,” Munawar added.<br /><br />Narendra and Jithendra gained entry inside the house and picked a quarrel with Geetha. <br /><br />The duo later hacked her with a machete. Geetha sustained serious injuries on her head, chest and back. <br /><br />She collapsed and died on the spot, Shankarappa told the police.</p>
