JOIN USThree Delhi Police constables were suspended on Friday pending enquiry after the Aam Aadmi Party released a video showing police officials brutally beating a man and extorting money near Red Fort on January 12.
The video titled “Brutality of Delhi Police near Lal Quila on 12-01-14” has been shared on YouTube and Facebook with a message, asking Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde if action would be taken against the police officers. Identity of the victim is yet to be ascertained, but, the video captures two police officers in uniform beating him with sticks.
The victim was also told to take off his clothes. He can be seen begging for mercy. However, the police officials went on beating him mercilessly.
A third policeman too can be seen joining the brutality with a stick and slapping the victim.
