An alleged middleman in the scam in the purchase of VVIP choppers by AgustaWestland had asked a contact in India to target UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the then National Security Adviser M K Narayanan to bag the deal, says a document submitted in a court in Italy.
It has come to light that Christian Michel had faxed one of his contacts, who had then been allegedly working with AgustaWestland’s India office, to this effect, said official sources quoting the document that was recovered by the Italian police.
