DMK forms poll committee for seat sharing with allies

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president M Karunanidhi’s son M K Stalin and daughter Kanimozhi are part of the committees formed to carry out seat-sharing talks and to draft the poll manifesto for the general elections.

The party has formed two committees – one to carry out seat sharing negotiations with other parties and the other to draft the party’s manifesto for the ensuing general elections.

Stalin figures at the top of the five-member committee that would negotiate with other parties. Others include Duraimurugan, V P Duraisamy, R S Bharathi and P V Kalyanasundaram. Kanimozhi is part of the seven member committee to draft the poll manifesto. 

The party has ruled out pre-poll alliance with the Congress and the BJP.
